Grasmere Guzzler beer festival 2011

The Grasmere Guzzler Festival celebrates its 5th year this September and with more beer, music, food and other entertainment than ever before it promises to be the best one yet.
In the main bar there is always a great selection of real ales from the seven pumps, but in the festival bar outside, there will be at least a further 10 hand pumps, offering a huge range of local and national beers, ciders and perry. It is a showcase of the best of Lakeland ales from the local micro-breweries, but they also go for the cream of award winning ales rom across the UK.
On the food front the local speciality barbeque is a must for an afternoon snack. Venison and pheasant burgers both go down a treatand the Cumberland sausage is not to be missed. The Hog roast goes on all day or at least until the food runs out and is served with roast apple and fresh bread.
The full entertainment line-up for this year is yet to be announced, but the acts to follow from last year include the renowned Bag of Spanners , The Indian Postal service, Pete OLashley, The Slabs, Taffy Thomas story telling and many more besides.
This year promises to be bigger and better than ever, so watch out for news on the www.tweediesbargrasmere.co.uk or www.dalelodgehotel.blogspot.com
